- Harry Shilling, 26, and accomplices smuggled 31 automatic rifles and sub-machine guns into Britain
- Weapons bought from the same supplier as those used in Paris attacks
- Vast haul was capable of 'unleashing carnage on a terrifying scale'
- Judge has warned that the gang members face years behind bars
A terrifying array of weapons smuggled into Britain as part of the largest ever illegal haul could have been used in a Paris-style terror attack, a court heard today.
Mastermind Harry Shilling, 26, and his accomplices are facing years behind bars after sneaking 31 automatic rifles and sub-machine guns into Britain in a specially-adapted boat last August.
The gun-runners bought the weapons, said to have been capable of 'unleashing carnage', from the same Slovakian supplier as those used in the Charlie Hebdo massacre in January last year and in November's attacks.
